Putting this one up early since the blowback on Dkos is at a peak. Tuesday is a huge day as far as delegates go. Polls show a tightening of the race for some pollsters while others just keep going. Obviously it will come down to people showing up at the polls and of course how the independents will influence a Democratic Primary.
Hillary will win Florida since it's a closed primary and can't be gamed. North Carolina shows her with a good lead, but its primary is open enough to be gamed like Michigan's was. So is Ohio's and she and Bernie are neck-and-neck there.
It doesn't matter about Ohio. If she runs up the score in Florida and North Carolina, she can lose everywhere else tomorrow and still put the final nail in Bernie's coffin.
Now that a) Hillary has essentially shown she's got the Democratic nomination, and b) Trump's got closer to locking up the Republican nomination, Obama's decided to implement his Operation Eat Your Words Orrin And Mitch with regard to a SCOTUS nominee.
As the esteemed BBB says:
"President Obama is going to take some fire from liberals today, but understand that what the President is doing is quite shrewd. First, the most important thing at this point is getting the legal community invested and activated in the election outcome. But second is just as important is putting Senators on the spot and forcing them to justify their opposition.
"Now, this doesn't mean that his pick will be confirmed. But most important is making sure there is a President to replace Ginsburg and even possibly Breyer. And if lucky, Kennedy.
"Just remember the President is playing for the Senate, not the presidential race."
