You knew it was going to happen. These two monumental egoes couldn't play nice forever, even when they were riding high. And now that the ends of their respective meal tickets are in sight, the knives have come out.
Tad Devine (aka The Grifter, Destroyer of Presidential Candidacies), speaking on MSNBC tried to distance (emphasis on the "dis") himself from Jeff Weaver (aka Comic Book Guy) in the wake of a disastrous week capped off by Bernie's being sent off to Rome courtesy of Jeffrey Sachs, by saying, in response to Weaver's infamous 'deal with the devil' comments, that "he can speak for himself":
