We know Ashley Williams considers herself an independent for the BLM movement. And yes we want to support people who want to help movements like theirs but this last instance seems to have been a tipping point for SC.
I have a friend that I've known for 8 years (nearly) that I met during the final push to get get President Obama in the White House. He was a steadfast Bernie supporter because he felt that Bernie fit more of what he wanted for people. He actually works for the Bernie campaign and is in SC which really hasn't given their campaign a lot of thought. We've spoken and the things that we hear about phone banking with the wrong info or people giving out the wrong schedule information to the opposing candidates voters. He actually hears about "ideas" like this floated around on his side and doesn't allow it. Its happened more and more and it seems like this is the way they are being taught and the way the campaign wants to go. When Ashley Williams used that moment to approach Hillary in the way she did it came at a cost. My friend and others he worked with that are more moderate of Bernie decided that this comes really close to home and the chances of it being true was to great. Last night he posted that he was switching from the Bernie campaign to go work for the HRC Campaign.
He was attacked by some but protected by even more thankfully. But all in all I think the way they look at the situation at what happened in SC just slid past most people. The only ones who feel like it was anything more is just the Bernie side who wants it to be true. But most people are thinking its not.
